Fal AI MCP CLI

thenavidm · MCP server

Fal AI MCP CLI connects an AI assistant, or a terminal agent, to the fal.ai platform. It finds current image, video, audio and 3D endpoints and inspects their native schemas, reads unit pricing and billable usage, submits an approved model payload and tracks it by request ID, and reviews several ordered generations against current schemas and prices before submitting that exact batch. It also manages assets, collections, tags, characters and CDN access settings, with isolated account API keys.

Written by ooruby from the README of @thenavidm/fal-ai-mcp-cli 3.0.1.

Why it's useful

Your assistant can check schemas and prices on fal.ai before it submits anything, and only the batch you approved is sent.

What you could do with it

  1. 1Find the exact endpoint ID for a video model and inspect its input schema.
  2. 2Review several ordered generations against current prices, then submit only that approved batch.
  3. 3Read unit pricing and check the billable usage of your fal.ai account.

Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.

Maintenance

Not measured

No release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.

Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

Not yet tested

What this does not cover

  • ·Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.

Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.

In its maker's words

fal.ai shared MCP and task CLI for current models, queue receipts, asset management, private accounts and exact approved generation batches.

How far this has been checked

Static scanned

What it establishes
Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
What it does not
How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
Exactly what was read
Version 3.0.1, the file with digest sha512-FOk1jAJk6OG8qEDRi4isRs1n7NJQBJFIyHkwny73LPuK0zwH1xsx1XWvkr1tG7ZOmOl9NWsPdiyOAyvT70qxMA==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
Authentication
Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
