Modulatejs
freddieiboy · App
ModulateJS is a language for describing how a user interface should feel, meant to be written by a person or by an AI model. A short script places pieces, ties them to drivers such as tap, drag and scroll, and springs between two states. Because the code lives in the URL fragment there is no login, no backend and nothing stored, so a prototype can be shared as a link that runs on your phone. An editor mode follows a file on disk, and an MCP mode lets an agent use it.

Why it's useful
People and AI models can write UI interactions in the same short language and try them on a phone through a link.
What you could do with it
- Write a like button that pops on tap and open the link on your phone to try it.
- Ask your AI model to read the spec and write a prototype, then have it hand you a link.
- Run the editor on a file while Claude Code edits it and watch the page and your phone follow.

Maintenance

In its maker's words
ModulateJS is markdown for UI interactions: a consistent language for how UI can feel, that a human or an LLM can write. Comprehensive enough that custom JavaScript is never necessary. Speed, fidelity and control. Fifteen lines, a link, and it's on your p

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.29.0, the file with digest sha512-b8VT00TfeL+A1ZuIQMWUI3XzFAPhdvuOTNs/YOFnXIaM8J0Upzba8wEjabK87lU265jaw9hKD1xbx67NHKFHWQ==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
Adding it
Run it with:
npx -y -p modulatejs@0.29.0 modulatePinned to 0.29.0, which is the version the findings above were found in. Drop the version to take whatever is newest, and the report on this page stops describing what you installed.
