Comfyui MCP

miller-joe · MCP server

ComfyUI MCP connects your AI assistant to a ComfyUI instance so it can create images from natural language prompts. Its tools generate an image, produce several variations of one prompt by changing the seed, refine a source image with a new prompt, upscale, and list the checkpoints, LoRAs, samplers and schedulers available. It can also run ControlNet and IP-Adapter workflows or any workflow JSON exported from ComfyUI, and save workflows as named templates to run later. Results come back as image URLs.

Written by ooruby from the README of @miller-joe/comfyui-mcp 0.3.0.

Why it's useful

Your agent can drive image generation in your own ComfyUI, from plain prompts to custom workflows, and hand back links to the results.

What you could do with it

  1. 1Generate a batch of between two and sixteen variations of one prompt and compare them.
  2. 2Refine an existing image by passing its URL and a new prompt, controlling how much of the original is kept.
  3. 3Save a complex ComfyUI workflow once as a named template, then have your agent run it by name later.

Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.

Maintenance

Not measured

No release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.

Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

Published because it was found. A finding is information about where the limits are, not a verdict that the software is unsafe.

How far this has been checked

Static scanned

What it establishes
Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
What it does not
How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
Exactly what was read
Version 0.3.0, the file with digest sha512-0iQMK3j7rmyko5hbrHXRhg9PJNkrSQ+LuLGZod1mFZBF4cR5Wh/DZ48j4/XBVIStnqubhIpyd5c/wptf7DtZyg==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
Authentication
Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.

The badge, if this is your listing

It renders the current rung (static scanned) and links back here, where what that does and does not establish is one click away. It updates itself as the evidence deepens.
