MCP Obsidian Vault
t-rhex · MCP server
Makes an Obsidian vault the place where AI agents keep notes, tasks, decisions and discoveries, so a new session can pick up where the last one stopped. Agents can read, create, update, search and tag notes, follow wikilinks and backlinks, and keep daily notes. Tasks go into a work queue with priorities and dependencies, an agent claims a task before working on it, and projects coordinate several agents in parallel. Git tools can commit, pull and push the vault.

Why it's useful
Agents that forget everything between chat sessions get a durable place for what was decided, what broke and what is still to do.
What you could do with it
- Create a task with a priority and dependencies, so it cannot be claimed until its prerequisites are done.
- Record why a decision was made in the vault so the next session does not repeat an old mistake.
- Pull, commit and push the vault to git in a single call after a working session.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.4.0, the file with digest sha512-JWDRh6ihmz2ooFoyHs97UZCCZ2VlBuTqKLcH4J36mTTjv9sVhXtz5y4ujvmFskkhRm00+S7ENkBrT66ALLHt/A==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
