Shopify MCP
hasdata · MCP server
Reads the public catalogue of any Shopify storefront through HasData's hosted service, with no app and no merchant token. One tool lists a store's collections with their handles and descriptions; the other returns products with vendor, type, tags, images and variants carrying prices, SKUs and inventory status, optionally narrowed to one collection. You need a HasData API key, free to create without a card, and each call costs 5 credits. Headless stores work only on their Shopify-provided address.

Why it's useful
Your agent can read any Shopify store's public products, variants and prices without an app or merchant token.
What you could do with it
- List the collections on a store and see which ones hold the most products.
- Find every discounted product on a store by comparing its price against its compare-at price.
- Page through a shoes collection and work out the price range for each size.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
- Command execution is bounded
- inventory
- node child_process (index.mjs:5)
- An inventory of where the code starts another program, not a verdict on this row: whether each one runs a fixed program or whatever it is handed takes a reading by hand.
Published because it was found. A finding is information about where the limits are, not a verdict that the software is unsafe.
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
MCP server for Shopify storefronts through HasData's hosted API: pull the public product catalogue and collections from any store by URL, with variants, SKUs and prices. No app, no merchant token. 1,000 free credits every month.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 1.0.3, the file with digest sha512-MaNdmU7beqtIriiPBrDgGlCcTo+9QeLYT0Gdh49Uie+tJDUgh0tu9Cn49okanZyUiR0ql4fUxEoe0f0kpulpcA==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Auth declared. Its hosted endpoint, as the official MCP registry lists it, asks for a key or a token before it will talk.
