Google Maps MCP
hasdata · MCP server
Gives your AI assistant Google Maps data through HasData's hosted service, with no Google Cloud project or API key from Google. It can search for places, read a place's address, phone, website, hours, rating, price level and amenities, fetch reviews with owner responses, list a place's photos and business posts, and list every place a given reviewer has reviewed. You need a HasData API key, free to create; most calls cost 5 credits and posts cost 10.

Why it's useful
Your agent can research local businesses and what customers say about them without a Google Cloud project.
What you could do with it
- Search for coffee shops near downtown Seattle and list the top ten with rating, review count and website.
- Read the latest reviews for a place, newest first, and see which topics come up most.
- Take the author of a review and list every other place they have reviewed, with the rating they left.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
- Command execution is bounded
- inventory
- node child_process (index.mjs:5)
- An inventory of where the code starts another program, not a verdict on this row: whether each one runs a fixed program or whatever it is handed takes a reading by hand.
Published because it was found. A finding is information about where the limits are, not a verdict that the software is unsafe.
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
MCP server for Google Maps through HasData's hosted API: place search, place details, reviews, photos, posts and contributor history. No Google Cloud project. 1,000 free credits every month.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 1.0.7, the file with digest sha512-+hoh9MlRbu3sXRjO9oLXc7ZNSFx7RmzXo1QOvwKp+mmwsiZ1uP54s2uMsaZnNmNCmjyXo8ZIYscz0wAfjf+N+A==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Auth declared. Its hosted endpoint, as the official MCP registry lists it, asks for a key or a token before it will talk.
