Adds cross-type search and counts to Strapi's MCP server, plus a chat panel in the admin.
Strapi Oauth MCP Manager
codingafterthirty · MCP server
Strapi OAuth MCP Manager lets AI clients that expect OAuth connect to Strapi's built-in MCP server without a pasted token. You give the client the MCP address, sign in with your Strapi admin account and choose one of your own admin tokens, and the client then gets short-lived OAuth tokens with that token's permissions. Revoking a session, deleting a token or deactivating a user ends access on the next request. It needs Strapi 5.47 or later with the MCP server turned on. Sign-in takes an admin email and password, so SSO-only admins cannot connect.

Why it's useful
Clients that expect OAuth can reach Strapi's MCP server with a sign-in and revocable access instead of a token pasted into each one.
What you could do with it
- Let an editor connect with a publishing token and an author with a draft-only token.
- Map a named admin token to a client so every session from that client uses it and skips the picker.
- Revoke a client's access by deleting its admin token or deactivating the user who approved it.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
OAuth 2.1 authorization server for Strapi's official MCP server (/mcp). Lets Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients connect with a Strapi admin login instead of a pasted token.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 1.1.0, the file with digest sha512-MZTke6CHeWvckSn5ehSyAmclXaRLmSHbPTydYCpu2bdbgfVD4PddJBpiBya72YX12lHuCFK01BLSe08Sii3GjA==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
Adding it
This one installs no executable, so there is nothing to run. It is a library you import into your own process. Add it with npm i strapi-oauth-mcp-manager@1.1.0 and call it from your code.

No build provenance published. The repository above is the one the publisher declared, and nothing links it to the package you would install. That is not a mark against this listing, since most packages are published this way, but it is a check nobody can run.

It renders the current rung (static scanned) and links back here, where what that does and does not establish is one click away. It updates itself as the evidence deepens.
