Sigmap
manojmallick · Agent
SigMap builds a signature-and-evidence map of your codebase without calling a language model. It ranks files for a question, supplies compact signatures as context for your AI assistant, and can run as an MCP server for live access during a session. Its verify command checks an AI answer and flags fabricated files, imports, symbols, tests and npm scripts. It lists 38 languages, but depth varies: only Python is fully parsed, 12 brace languages get line anchors and the rest use looser line patterns.

Why it's useful
AI assistants can name files and functions that do not exist, and this gives them a map of real ones and a way to catch the mistakes.
What you could do with it
- Ask where authentication is handled in your repo and get back a ranked list of files to read.
- Save an AI answer to a file and run the verify command to get a line-by-line list of fabrications.
- Check an AI plan with the verify-plan command before your agent carries it out.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
- Command execution is bounded
- inventory
- node child_process (src/verify/hallucination-guard.js:42)
- node child_process (src/util/git.js:15)
- synchronous shell execution (src/util/git.js:18)
- node child_process (src/lsp/client.js:3)
- An inventory of where the code starts another program, not a verdict on this row: whether each one runs a fixed program or whatever it is handed takes a reading by hand.
Published because it was found. A finding is information about where the limits are, not a verdict that the software is unsafe.
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
The deterministic, verifiable grounding layer for AI code work — a zero-dependency signature-and-evidence map that grounds Claude, Cursor, Copilot, Aider, Windsurf, local LLMs & MCP agents against your real code (repo + installed libraries) so they stop h

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 8.72.1, the file with digest sha512-dIx+NLrFmnT2pjqj/8Bc8DaWfMOdQsubg6NM/i2+64aAo4yHytY1vFjdbhacEFwKX0+kHQTNabxgyUws5vrm6w==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
