Sentinelayer CLI
carther · Template
Command line for Sentinelayer. It runs an interactive project interview, signs you in through the browser or skips that when you bring your own key, can clone a GitHub repository, and generates a spec, build guide, execution prompt, scan workflow, todo list and handoff prompt. Prompts can be generated for several coding agents. It also starts managed sessions where several agents join a room run by a background daemon, and its scan workflow takes its mode from the spec's risk profile and needs a Sentinelayer token to scan.

Why it's useful
Turns a project idea into the spec, prompts and workflow files that a coding agent can build from.
What you could do with it
- Generate an execution prompt from your spec for the coding agent you use, and preview it before you run it.
- Start a managed session and have several agents join it, with a background daemon routing mentions and writing recaps.
- Generate a scan workflow from your spec and validate it later to catch drift from the spec's risk profile.

Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
- Command execution is bounded
- inventory
- node child_process (src/legacy-cli.js:8)
- synchronous shell execution (src/legacy-cli.js:575)
- synchronous shell execution (src/legacy-cli.js:611)

- An inventory of where the code starts another program, not a verdict on this row: whether each one runs a fixed program or whatever it is handed takes a reading by hand.

Published because it was found. A finding is information about where the limits are, not a verdict that the software is unsafe.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.43.0, the file with digest sha512-3Z3RC6dmQfy8V2k6CiUzQe40eoQ7w2L+fJWpV6j0kekFu+dlpUpcJgHlbLvZawAnPUfVMFSJoB65JL9hnCKHmA==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
Adding it
Run it with:
npx -y -p sentinelayer-cli@0.43.0 slPinned to 0.43.0, which is the version the findings above were found in. Drop the version to take whatever is newest, and the report on this page stops describing what you installed.
