Adds Storybook component and story documentation tools to an MCP server you run yourself.
Reticlehq Server
reticlehq · MCP server
Reticle puts a bridge between your coding agent and your running web app. A browser SDK in the app connects to a local WebSocket endpoint, and the agent uses MCP tools to look at, act on, observe and assert against the live app. Two tools return a verdict with evidence, aimed at change verification, access control, accessibility and performance checks. Setup wires the SDK, a build plugin and the MCP registration into your project, and its enterprise features need a licence key in production.

Why it's useful
Your agent can check a change against the live running app and get back a verdict with evidence, not only read the code.
What you could do with it
- Have your agent act in your running app, wait for the result and assert what the screen shows.
- Ask your agent to verify a change to your app and report a verdict with evidence.
- Reach the extra tools, such as screenshots, visual diff and network mocking, through the run tool.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
Reticle CLI, bridge and MCP server: a coding agent drives your running web app from the inside and gets a verdict with evidence, for change verification, access control, accessibility, performance and SEO checks.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 3.6.0, the file with digest sha512-ECsJ3O8BK/EIVGZ7qmo1dbjkvKNoBblK5zzCLwJGyqahOxllg/APhdy+P6Ye4QE3Xgms+OCunLe9HpFSRCTaiQ==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
