Runs OpenAI's Codex coding agent locally on your computer from the command line.
Repoos
repo-os · Agent
Repoos keeps tasks, specs, bugs and feature requests as plain markdown files with YAML frontmatter inside your repository, so people can read them and AI coding agents can use them as full context. A command line creates, lists and moves tasks through inbox, ready, active, review and done. Repoos can also launch a configured coding agent on a task in its own git worktree, stream what it does and move the task to review when it finishes. It suits teams that want people and agents to work from the same files in a monorepo.

Why it's useful
Tasks and agent context live in the same repository files, so an agent works from the spec you wrote and you review the result before anything merges.
What you could do with it
- Create a feature task from the command line, assign it to AI and give it an area and a priority.
- Start a configured coding agent on a task and follow its output as it works in a separate worktree.
- Print the task index as JSON and pipe it to your own script or agent.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

In its maker's words
The repo is the operating system. Repo-native, AI-agent-friendly task tracking that lives as markdown files in your monorepo.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.5.68, the file with digest sha512-H/NCeWNUyOXuMexNRtyA/Rt7+ZxjPgzoISySgRLIQeJCvBzts7HR2PfI0YDoVH3NyWd9mpIoFS/qjf7GTkd/fg==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
