Owenloop
typicalday · Agent
Owenloop is an engine for multi-step agent workflows. You declare each step's inputs, outputs and dependencies. An orchestrator of your choice, such as an agent skill, a plain loop or your own code, asks the engine what to run next and hands each job to a separate agent. The engine does the bookkeeping: it will not start a step before its inputs exist, holds submitted work for a separate reviewer and stops issuing jobs for a step that keeps getting rejected. It does not run commands or keep its own clock.

Why it's useful
The order, retries and stopping point of your agent workflow are enforced by code instead of left to an agent following instructions.
What you could do with it
- Chain a researcher, a writer and a reviewer so the report is only drafted once the research findings exist.
- Set a rejection limit so a step that keeps failing is flagged for a human instead of being retried all night.
- Sharpen the question after a run finishes and have the findings and the report marked as owed again.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
Deterministic rails for agentic workflows. Declare steps and dependencies; the engine guarantees order, redoes what changes invalidate, and stops what keeps failing — instead of hoping the agent follows through.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.5.37, the file with digest sha512-H761gWeBFwsRI6qxDqalHhsfe81RV2Pmv4orl6PvMDCxeSJjOSaZZQWlWQ/8+kGkjVgVcJP9Ob68j0r355r0vA==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
Adding it
Run it with:
npx -y owenloop@0.5.37Pinned to 0.5.37, which is the version the findings above were found in. Drop the version to take whatever is newest, and the report on this page stops describing what you installed.
