Open Meteo MCP Server
cm3r · MCP server
Open Meteo MCP Server connects your AI assistant to the Open-Meteo weather APIs. Its 17 tools cover forecasts up to 16 days ahead, historical weather from 1940, air quality and pollen, marine conditions, river flood forecasts, ensemble and seasonal outlooks and climate projections, plus geocoding so you can ask by place name. Forecasts can come from specific models such as ECMWF, NOAA GFS and DWD ICON. It runs locally or as a remote HTTP service, and can point at your own Open-Meteo instance.

Why it's useful
Your agent can answer weather, air quality, marine and climate questions for any place using Open-Meteo data.
What you could do with it
- Ask for the temperatures in London during January 2023 from the historical record.
- Compare the ICON and GFS ensemble forecasts for Berlin over the next five days.
- Get the current European air quality index, UV index and pollen levels for Paris.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 2.5.2, the file with digest sha512-SAUwq001rTME97r0qlZ7+YFNeF8X3oah+wTwaT5Qy3eo/XU13/6ODRiCjuq7u588ZAnFRULNmwz5X0DxesTdDg==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
