Adds Storybook component and story documentation tools to an MCP server you run yourself.
React Native MCP Server
ohah · MCP server
Connects an AI assistant to a React Native app over a WebSocket so it can inspect and control the app while you develop. It can monitor app state, network requests and console logs, query the component tree and run scripts in the app context. With idb for the iOS Simulator or adb for Android it can also tap, swipe, type text and take screenshots. A single setup step prepares your project.

Why it's useful
Your assistant gets live state, logs, network traffic and the component tree from your React Native app and can act on the screen itself.
What you could do with it
- Ask your assistant to read the console logs and network requests from your running app and explain a failure.
- Have your assistant tap through a screen on the iOS Simulator or Android and take a screenshot.
- Have your assistant query the component tree, or run a script in the app context, while the app is running.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
- Command execution is bounded
- inventory
- eval (runtime.js:1791)
- eval (runtime.js:3369)
- node child_process (scripts/doctor.mjs:11)
- synchronous shell execution (scripts/doctor.mjs:37)
- An inventory of where the code starts another program, not a verdict on this row: whether each one runs a fixed program or whatever it is handed takes a reading by hand.
Published because it was found. A finding is information about where the limits are, not a verdict that the software is unsafe.
What this does not cover

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.1.0-rc.14, the file with digest sha512-fSp7o7kWWImRpAw2u6Hj4JaO+fmKbvhuiAwfEV5RwlndzxQrWWnMSnS39frOUsko1v9F8Yp2tJvXOYf4pgBqQQ==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
