Nuxt MCP Dev

antfu · MCP server

Adds an MCP server to the dev server of a Nuxt project so that an AI assistant can understand your Nuxt app better while you work on it. You add the module to your Nuxt settings and the MCP server is then available at a local address on your dev server. In supported editors the module also updates the assistant settings for you, and other Nuxt modules can contribute extra information through a setup hook. It is marked as experimental.

Written by ooruby from the README of nuxt-mcp-dev 0.3.2.

Not claimed by its maker. Is this yours? Prove it and answer the findings

Why it's useful

Helps your AI model understand your Nuxt app better while you develop it, with the information coming from your own dev server.

What you could do with it

  1. 1Add the module to your Nuxt project so your assistant can reach the MCP server on the dev server.
  2. 2Write a Nuxt module that passes extra information about itself to your assistant through the setup hook.
  3. 3Work in a supported editor and let the module update your assistant's settings for you.

Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.

Maintenance

Not measured

No release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.

Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

How far this has been checked

Static scanned

What it establishes
Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
What it does not
How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
Exactly what was read
Version 0.3.2, the file with digest sha512-ia6FQMxGwl7qc8Mf7P2wrKPMl+h/ZKe9UDv1J2QKRZnAX3P3Ww3FgYXn20VkubN19sj/nbvFS35jwlhXAchIHA==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
Authentication
Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
How the rungs work

Adding it

This one installs no executable, so there is nothing to run. It is a library you import into your own process. Add it with npm i nuxt-mcp-dev@0.3.2 and call it from your code.

The badge, if this is your listing

It renders the current rung (static scanned) and links back here, where what that does and does not establish is one click away. It updates itself as the evidence deepens.
