Has an AI model write and test SQL query templates for your MemberJunction entities.
Db Auto Doc
memberjunction · App
DB Auto Doc generates descriptions of a database's tables and columns by asking a language model, then saves them as metadata. It supports SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL and works with providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Groq, using your own API key for the provider you choose. It can also detect missing primary and foreign keys using statistics checked by a model, and generate sample SQL queries for AI agents. It works without MemberJunction, as a command line or as a library.

Why it's useful
A database with no written documentation gets table and column descriptions and suggested keys without anyone writing each by hand.
What you could do with it
- Point it at an undocumented database and have a language model draft a description for each table and column.
- Find primary and foreign keys your schema never declared, using statistical checks confirmed by a model.
- Mark approved tables and columns so a later run does not overwrite their descriptions.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
AI-powered database documentation generator for SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Analyzes your database structure, uses AI to generate comprehensive descriptions, and saves them as metadata. Works standalone - no MemberJunction runtime required.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 6.1.5, the file with digest sha512-sO3KbfdXSTyvSU5nmx5KJaDakvLjvIPjPwYYLSaF+KzleVy8paDcUpwv5EmgmDQXTyr7B3EwNphzbX7VZBR+sg==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
