Jrig CLI
intentsolutions · App
J-Rig is a command line for evaluating Claude Skills across seven layers, scoring package integrity, trigger, functional, rollout-safety and cost by default. You point it at a skill folder with an evaluation spec, and it records evidence in a local SQLite database. An option lets the model that executes the skill call stdio MCP servers you list, and judges can optionally be shown the tool calls. Evaluation runs need an API key for an LLM provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic or DeepSeek, and model calls are metered, so provider billing applies.

Why it's useful
It scores a Claude Skill on several defined layers and records the evidence of each run in a local database you can inspect.
What you could do with it
- Run the deterministic package integrity checks on a Claude Skill folder from the command line.
- Validate an evaluation spec in YAML, then run the evaluation and keep the evidence in a local SQLite database.
- Let the execution model call an MCP server you list explicitly, to evaluate a skill that depends on external tools.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

In its maker's words
J-Rig seven-layer binary eval CLI for Claude Skills — the `j-rig` command: package-integrity, trigger, functional, rollout-safety, and cost scoring by default (the regression + baseline layers are coded and opt-in; each run declares its coverage), plus op

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.5.0, the file with digest sha512-vcjnn/ll5u7u0cXADnK0ztVcKRzZQHpw8z9Tq44CTY4aWluea6gvOHJ+qQ4DZpnoDtDu4owsDIS4wbZyfhEQlQ==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
