Lets your agent drive a running Tauri app: click, type, screenshot, read logs and watch IPC calls.
Tauri Plugin MCP Bridge
hypothesi · MCP server
Tauri Plugin MCP Bridge connects the Model Context Protocol to Tauri applications, giving access to the app's IPC layer, backend state and window management. It runs a WebSocket server that the MCP server for Tauri talks to, and enables that server's tools for IPC monitoring, command execution, event emission, window management and webview automation such as finding elements, clicking, typing and taking screenshots. The TypeScript bindings in this package are optional and only needed to call the plugin from the app's frontend.

Why it's useful
Your agent can see and exercise a running Tauri app during development instead of working only from its source code.
What you could do with it
- Start IPC monitoring in your Tauri app and review the captured calls with their timing and arguments.
- Have your agent find an element in the app's webview, click it and take a screenshot.
- Emit a custom event from your agent to test how the app's event handlers respond.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

In its maker's words

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.13.1, the file with digest sha512-KeO2XvzwDlHb5NqtOdSrpKS3VRKt/dl3JqspXYkDD+scidTocEanKlT6AJo05rrVFC8n92k1FbSdutAg20Yp+w==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
Adding it
This one installs no executable, so there is nothing to run. It is a library you import into your own process. Add it with npm i @hypothesi/tauri-plugin-mcp-bridge@0.13.1 and call it from your code.
