Docker MCP Server
hypnosis · MCP server
Docker MCP Server gives your AI assistant structured access to Docker. It reports compose services with state, health and ports, reads container logs by time window and returns resource readings as numbers. One database tool covers PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB, Redis, MongoDB and SQLite, with backups read back to report their size. A local guard requires explicit confirmation before irreversible operations such as destroying a database or restoring over existing data. It works on this machine or on a remote host over SSH.

Why it's useful
Your agent gets Docker answers as structured fields, and commands that wipe a whole database or volume have to be confirmed in the call before they run.
What you could do with it
- Ask for the health of every service in a compose project and see which ones have no healthcheck.
- Read a container's logs for a set time window and pick out error lines by stream and time.
- Back up a PostgreSQL database in a container and check that the dump was read back with its size.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
Docker MCP server for AI agents — containers, compose stacks, logs, databases and backups, on this machine or on a remote host over SSH, with destructive operations blocked. Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and any MCP client.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 2.0.1, the file with digest sha512-K9QwRLto5D/Pqdr464Xz5MofEo9b/G8vEyjoZZwnQB8le2ipxiNgBnzSHgOUSrZR1w9f04dCreLCkZm3YlL5CQ==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
