Haven AI MCP

haven_ai · MCP server

Haven MCP gives an AI agent payment tools for x402 APIs. The agent can request a quote, pay it, resume a payment, check its status, list and verify receipts, read its allowances and open or close task budgets. It runs locally as a stdio process and signs with a delegate key held in a local credential file, which Haven's backend never receives. A Haven account is required, and on first launch the server refuses to start until you acknowledge what its tools can spend.

Written by ooruby from the README of @haven_ai/mcp 0.9.0-alpha.0.

Why it's useful

Your agent can pay for x402 APIs by itself within its allowances and task budgets, and keep receipts it can verify afterwards.

What you could do with it

  1. 1Have your agent request a quote from an x402 API before it decides whether to pay.
  2. 2Open a task budget for a job, let your agent pay within it, then close the budget when the work is done.
  3. 3Ask your agent to list its receipts and verify the signed receipt from a settled payment.

Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.

Maintenance

Not measured

No release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.

Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

How far this has been checked

Static scanned

What it establishes
Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
What it does not
How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
Exactly what was read
Version 0.9.0-alpha.0, the file with digest sha512-QUv818FxDaoGLZMmGfK0cY3nCryCAVY/+/YGu+Su8/HbbyYIp45kJz+UYxyoKhpcQ5sGLnIzuG3c5NWYZDt9kg==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
Authentication
Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
