Fortemi Core
fortemi · App
Fortemi Core is a headless library for building local-first knowledge apps in the browser. It stores notes, links, tags, collections, SKOS concepts and attachments in PGlite (PostgreSQL in WebAssembly), with no application server or account needed. It offers full-text, semantic and hybrid search, optional embeddings, a job queue and Knowledge Shard archives for import and export. A manifest of ten tools lets an agent runtime capture, search and manage the archive.

Why it's useful
Lets a browser app keep a searchable archive on the user's own device and expose it to an agent runtime, without building a server first.
What you could do with it
- Store notes, links, tags and collections in a PostgreSQL-compatible database that lives in the browser.
- Search your saved notes by keyword, by meaning or with hybrid ranking that combines both.
- Advertise its ten note and search tools to an agent runtime through the tool manifest.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
Browser-only knowledge management core: PGlite (PostgreSQL WASM), MCP tools, hybrid search, and profile-scoped Knowledge Shard interchange.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 2026.9.9, the file with digest sha512-BMeoqIY9s3VKYLVbPxlWcYE1i8AeBXI+UThYGDF7ayP3O1RxJGef1rNT8izOVwVgH+S+TkwDl4C0vvYAeZK41g==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
