Runs OpenAI's Codex coding agent locally on your computer from the command line.
Fastagent
fastagent-sh · Agent
FastAgent takes an agent defined as a folder of files and serves it outside the terminal. The same agent can run as a Telegram, Slack or Feishu bot, a webhook handler or an HTTP endpoint, or be mounted in a Next, Astro, Hono, Bun or Node route that keeps your own auth and database. You bring the existing agent definition and project layout, and FastAgent adds the serving runtime and channel adapters on top of the open-source pi harness. It suits developers whose agent already works locally and now needs users.

Why it's useful
Local agents live in terminals; this serves the same agent folder to users through chat channels, webhooks and an API without a framework rewrite.
What you could do with it
- Add the agent to a Next or Astro app through one route that uses your own auth and database.
- Serve the same agent as a Telegram or Slack bot with verified webhooks and streaming replies.
- Generate a container, target configuration and runbook to deploy the agent folder to Docker, Fly or Railway.

Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
- Data handling disclosed
- finding
- no statement of what it reads, writes or sends (README.md)
Published because it was found. A finding is information about where the limits are, not a verdict that the software is unsafe.
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
Vibe first. Then FastAgent: turn a local agent directory into a live service in your app, on Telegram, Slack, Feishu, or behind any channel.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.24.4, the file with digest sha512-YibY3JSK5sQKttVA6ZyNXzihX+q6E2U+2txjiWes+4J+hJvEbkJvReKDCJFSePPcsPnGEl3ZXU6gtCWyx9LWIQ==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
Adding it

npx -y @fastagent-sh/fastagent@0.24.4Pinned to 0.24.4, which is the version the findings above were found in. Drop the version to take whatever is newest, and the report on this page stops describing what you installed.
