Drupal MCP Connector

jmcerda · MCP server

Drupal MCP Connector links an AI client to one or more Drupal 10 or 11 sites and exposes content and configuration as tools, resources and prompts. It reads through core JSON:API or through GraphQL with the GraphQL Compose module, chosen per site, and writes go through JSON:API once you choose a more permissive security preset than the read-only default. An optional SSH Drush bridge adds administrative operations such as cache rebuilds, cron and configuration sync. It suits site builders and editors.

Written by ooruby from the README of drupal-mcp-connector 3.2.2.

Not claimed by its maker. Is this yours? Prove it and answer the findings

Why it's useful

Your agent can answer content and site-health questions about Drupal and make bulk changes without you clicking through the admin interface.

What you could do with it

  1. 1Ask your agent to find every article missing a meta description and list them.
  2. 2Run an SEO and accessibility audit on the article content type and read the findings.
  3. 3Create ten draft product nodes from structured data, previewing the payload with a dry run first.

Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.

Maintenance

Not measured

No release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.

Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

Not yet tested
Command execution is bounded
inventory
node child_process (src/lib/load-secrets.js:18)
synchronous shell execution (src/lib/load-secrets.js:88)
An inventory of where the code starts another program, not a verdict on this row: whether each one runs a fixed program or whatever it is handed takes a reading by hand.

Published because it was found. A finding is information about where the limits are, not a verdict that the software is unsafe.

In its maker's words

Multi-site MCP server for Drupal over JSON:API and GraphQL, with governed writes and an SSH Drush bridge. init writes a stdio or Tailscale client config from a transport preset. doctor checks reachability, auth, and readiness, and reports version skew. A

How far this has been checked

Static scanned

What it establishes
Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
What it does not
How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
Exactly what was read
Version 3.2.2, the file with digest sha512-5oioqMSZtdXyQ5MZLja1x/Jzhua2TUyxLNNjrhCHt1UwdvqrYBn4dT3ndDh6NHbnWghSAMj5UZBRoHWYvRJwYg==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
Authentication
Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
