Desearch MCP Server
cosmicquantum · MCP server
Connects your AI assistant to the Desearch API for search and data on the web and X. AI search returns relevant links with a summary from sources such as the web, arXiv, Wikipedia, Hacker News and Reddit, and tweet search takes filters like user, dates, language and engagement. Other tools read a public URL as text or HTML, and fetch posts by ID or URL, a user's posts and replies, a post's replies and retweeters, and trending topics by location. You bring your own Desearch API key and need a recent Node.js.

Why it's useful
Your agent can research a topic across the web and X and return links with summaries, using a single Desearch API key.
What you could do with it
- Search tweets from one user between two dates with a minimum number of likes.
- Search the web, Hacker News and Reddit together and get links with a summary.
- Read a public page as text or HTML by giving your agent its URL.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
AI search, X search and web search for AI agents, plus page extraction and X data tools. Bring your own Desearch API key.

How far this has been checked
Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.1.4, the file with digest sha512-/CbwmF+rek2ci1EYlpTEKo3e2WTo5UkgG2vgabI3gvwdYo4ZvBg+iB4khG2O7W0k91rw7lT77UtuDl8glBPJgg==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Auth declared. Its hosted endpoint, as the official MCP registry lists it, asks for a key or a token before it will talk.
