Gives your AI agent a virtual card to spend from a balance you fund, managed from the command line.
Deepfirstsearch Agent Pay
deepfirstsearch · Agent
Agent Pay is a library for AI agents that pay for services over x402, where the model proposes and the owner's policy decides. Every payment is checked against a merchant registry, price caps and budgets, and each step goes into a hash-chained audit log. A dry run shows what the policy would do without signing anything, and an owner command line creates and funds on-chain budget vaults on Base Sepolia or Base. It is a beta and has not been audited.

Why it's useful
Your agent can pay for x402 services while a fixed policy, not the model, decides which merchants get paid and how much.
What you could do with it
- Run the offline demo to watch one payment go through and four attacks get refused before you wire anything up.
- Use the dry run to see what the policy would do with a seller's payment request, with no key and nothing signed.
- Create a vault on Base Sepolia, fund it and sign a merchant budget with per-transaction and daily limits.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
Policy-gated x402 payments for AI agents: deterministic spend policy outside the model, prompt-injection guards, per-merchant payers and on-chain Agent Safe budgets on Base.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.10.0, the file with digest sha512-cbyLyNQpNqYc49zBr9tuYl5h1pr/UyZbeQCE5A3bpvjzcDkBzv3A4hXKQ1Tlf0PrHFplSHdUJRCbQEFxa266OQ==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
