Create Foundry Ui App
ltwlf · Template
Create Foundry UI App scaffolds a chat application for an agent that connects to your Microsoft Foundry project. A React chat UI talks to a FastAPI agent service built on Microsoft Agent Framework over the AG-UI protocol, and the sample agent comes with greeting and weather tools. Branding, colours and fonts can be changed through theme settings, and a second preset adds an Azure AI Search knowledge base retrieval tool. You need the Azure CLI signed in to Azure and a Foundry project endpoint and model name.

Why it's useful
Gives you a running chat front end and agent service for a Foundry project, so you start by adding tools and branding rather than building the interface.
What you could do with it
- Create the app, sign in to Azure and chat with the sample agent, which can call its greeting and weather tools.
- Add your own Agent Framework tool to the agent service and include it in the agent's tool list.
- Choose the Foundry IQ preset to give the agent a tool that retrieves from an Azure AI Search knowledge base.

Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.8.29, the file with digest sha512-O9PSurbhdcf37d/L8QY7KjEFg0Iln023Kn23C2MCIAtOYumj0052bDU+NrCH7RZAUDskYWsKnv1taL3kTA5iPg==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.

No build provenance published. The repository above is the one the publisher declared, and nothing links it to the package you would install. That is not a mark against this listing, since most packages are published this way, but it is a check nobody can run.
