Adds Storybook component and story documentation tools to an MCP server you run yourself.
Chumbo
elsheppo · MCP server
Chumbo wraps an existing Supabase application in a Streamable HTTP MCP server that runs as a Supabase Edge Function. You write the capabilities agents get as ordinary MCP tools, resources and prompts. For users who sign in through Supabase, each request runs with a fresh client carrying their access token, so your Postgres grants and Row Level Security policies still apply. Setup asks who may connect, previews every file it will write and lists the remaining deployment and OAuth steps. It suits teams already building on Supabase.

Why it's useful
Agents can use your existing Supabase data under the permissions you already set, without you building the MCP layer yourself.
What you could do with it
- Expose a chosen set of your Supabase operations as MCP tools, with Row Level Security still applying to each call.
- Let setup generate the Edge Function and its tests for your Supabase project, previewing every file before it writes.
- Project one capability into a branded command line tool that calls the same MCP endpoint and can print JSON.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured

Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 0.12.2, the file with digest sha512-EHUfXRER6WyhDUn6fl63YdVsWacisKJ/5n1k+eWPCN6+jo5OAclYkOYo/JUExYcnesfRw37X0MDc4BtfF9YBMQ==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
