Gives your AI agent a virtual card to spend from a balance you fund, managed from the command line.
Billing Tools
arnaudjnn · Agent
Billing Tools packages the sign-in and payment plumbing a SaaS product usually rebuilds: API-key authentication on WorkOS and credit and subscription billing on Stripe. It also supports agents, with self-registration through auth.md and machine payments through MPP, so people in a browser and agents over plain HTTP use the same engine. You declare plans in code and it exposes the engine as MCP tools, a REST API and a command line. Storage is pluggable: a built-in WorkOS store or your own Postgres.

Why it's useful
Billing and API-key auth for a tool product are set up from a plan catalogue instead of being rebuilt in every project.
What you could do with it
- Declare your plans in code, then run the billing command to audit or provision the matching Stripe products and prices.
- Meter every tool call in credits and deduct them from a workspace balance, with seats and per-user grants.
- Let an AI agent register itself and pay with machine payments over plain HTTP instead of a browser.
Written from its documentation: what it says it can do, not what our checks found.
Maintenance
Not measuredNo release date is on record for this package yet. The nightly publisher check records one as it reaches each npm package, about once every ten nights.
Release activity only: it says nothing about quality or safety, and a finished small package can be fine without releases. How it is measured
What this does not cover
- Everything. Treat it as you would software from anywhere else.
Receipt history: every signed receipt for every version of this listing, and what changed between them.
In its maker's words
The get-paid engine for Stripe + WorkOS apps, for humans and AI agents. Drop-in API-key auth, credit + subscription billing, auth.md agent registration, and MPP machine payments, as MCP tools, a REST API, and a CLI. Framework-agnostic, storage-pluggable.

Static scanned
- What it establishes
- Its published package, or for a hosted server its source repository at a recorded commit, was read file by file, without running it, by every check in our current scan.
- What it does not
- How it behaves when it runs, or anything the scan does not read yet: several rubric checks, the repository's history, and compiled code in folders named dist or build. For a hosted server, that the endpoint runs the code that was read. The ooruby Index sets out exactly what was read.
- Exactly what was read
- Version 25.8.10, the file with digest sha512-D8UUpvUlND2adhEVb3F36LPQwUEuE2ywmjXB1iy6V4lCA9DD+qv44jkpee24I7zJRVmMQUyn8Fa8+cM6z2wxCA==, as the registry publishes it. A published version cannot be replaced, so this names the same bytes for anyone who checks.
- Authentication
- Runs locally. No hosted endpoint is listed for this package. You run it on your own machine, so there is no endpoint of ours to authenticate against.
