Occam
fit.occam/occam · 0.1.1
Finds the simplest equation consistent with your data. SINDy and PySR symbolic regression via MCP.
Nobody here has read this server's code, because it publishes none. The description above is the maker's own, from the registry. A connection test shows whether it answers and what tools it says it has; it never calls a tool, so it cannot show what one does with your data.
Where it sits in the directory's order
What can be seen from outside, weighed as the directory publishes.
Observable signals: 30 of 100 points (at most 60 here)
| Input | Points | What was seen |
|---|---|---|
| Source published | held at 0 | No entry here publishes source: that is what puts it in this directory. |
| Licence stated | held at 0 | With no files, there is nothing for a licence to be stated in or held against. |
| Advisory state | held at 0 | Advisory databases index packages, and these entries publish none, so there is nothing to look up. |
| Auth declared | 0 of 15 | The registry entry declares no key. That is what it declares, not a finding that it has no protection. |

The MCP handshake, then a request for the tool list, with no key and no data of yours. Run nightly, and by anyone, at most once every ten minutes per server.

The tools it lists (4, as of 2 days ago)
The tool-description rules found nothing in these descriptions. They look for instructions aimed at a model and for hidden characters; they cannot see what a tool does when it runs.
feature_requestRequest a feature that Occam doesn't support yet. Use this when you need a capability that Occam doesn't currently offer. Requests are logged and used to prioritize development. Rate limit: 5 requests/hour per IP, 50/hour global — stricter than the compute tools' 10/hour to prevent log flooding. Descriptions longer than 500 characters are truncated.
sindy_runSparse Identification of Nonlinear Dynamics (SINDy). Recovers governing differential equations (dx/dt = f(x)) from time series data. Returns human-readable sparse expressions. Fast (seconds). For algebraic y = f(x) relationships without time structure, use pysr_run instead. Pricing: free tier up to 100 rows and 8 variables. Beyond that, $0.05 + $0.01 per 100 extra rows + $0.01 per extra variable squared, via x402 (USDC on Base) or MPP/Stripe. MPP/Stripe adds a flat $0.35 per-transaction fee (Stripe processing), so the MPP challenge amount in a `payment_req
pysr_runEvolutionary Symbolic Regression (PySR). Discovers algebraic equations y = f(x1, x2, ...) from feature/target data. Returns a Pareto front ranked by the complexity/accuracy tradeoff. Slower than SINDy (10-60s); searches often terminate early on convergence. For differential equations from time series, use sindy_run instead. Pricing: free tier up to 100 rows × 8 features, 60s timeout. Beyond that, $0.25 + $0.03 per 100 extra rows + $0.01 per extra feature squared, timeout up to 300s (5 min), via x402 (USDC on Base) or MPP/Stripe. MPP/Stripe adds a flat $0.3
pysr_uncertaintyBootstrap confidence intervals for the numeric constants of a frozen expression, plus optional prediction bands on an x-grid. Typical flow: call pysr_run, pick an expression from the response (best_expression or a pareto_front entry), pass it back here with the same dataset to get CIs on its fit constants. Returns frequentist bootstrap confidence intervals, not Bayesian credible intervals — posterior inference over expression structures is an open research problem. This tool freezes the expression chosen by the caller and bootstraps only its numeric constants;
How this entry becomes a listing
For the maker. The catalogue lists what it can read, and this server publishes nothing to read yet. There are two routes, and only the first is open today.
Publish the source Open today
- Put the server's source in a public repository on github.com, with a licence.
- Keep a server.json in that repository naming this server,
fit.occam/occam, and declare the repository in it:"repository": { "url": "https://github.com/owner/repo", "source": "github" }, adding"subfolder"when the server lives in a folder. - Publish that version to the official MCP registry.
- The nightly registry sweep records the declaration. This page stays, dated, and says the source is declared but not yet read.
- The catalogue reads declared repositories at a pinned commit, in batches run by hand, and lists the servers that meet the batch's rules (among them a server.json at that commit naming the server, an https endpoint and a licence). When it lists this server, this page links to the listing. There is no schedule, so no date can be promised.
